North Carolina CEU

The state of North Carolina requires L, U, and I electricians to complete 8 hours of NC electrical continuing education courses every year in order to renew their license. SP electricians must complete 4 hours of training each year.
- For all North Carolina electricians, half of the required hours must be spent in a classroom with an instructor. The other half may be spent in a classroom, online, or through a home study course.
- The NC electrical license renewal deadline is the 1-year anniversary of the license issue date.
Remember that half of your continuing education hours must come from an in-person classroom course.
